Candidates should distinguish themselves as experts in their fields viewed by their appropriate peer groups as a leader in teaching, research and service to their peer communities.

Timeline

This is an approximate timeline for the review process; exact dates are specific to each year.

  1. Faculty prepare their packet for review
  2. By September, one review copy of the packet is due to Associate Dean's secretary
  3. Mid-October - College P&T Board meets with Dean for instructions
  4. Final Packets (original & 12) due by end of October (Including Departmental Vote) to Associate Dean's secretary
  5. College P&T Board meets during end of October through Mid-November to review packets
  6. College P&T Board fact finding report on all candidates due to Dean by end of November
  7. Associate Dean's assessments to Dean by mid-December
  8. Dean's recommendation on candidates due to UF due first week of January
  9. Copy of Dean's letter due to faculty within 5 days after UF due date
