Graduate Admissions

Graduate admissions into Gator Engineering programs is intensely competitive. The first step is to pick which department you'd like to join. There are 11 within our college, each with its own culture and research focus. You'll send application materials to both the university Graduate School and to your desired department. In the end, the department itself will decide whether or not to admit you.

  • Degree Programs We offer several graduate degrees. Many master's degrees are designed to be completed in just one year, and most PhD programs are open to students fresh out of undergrad.
  • Admissions Requirements Because our programs are so competitive, you'll find that our minimum requirements for admission tend to be higher than that of the university.
  • Application Procedures You'll send some paperwork to the university, and some to the department you want to join. The process is fairly straightforward, and some of it can even be completed online.
  • Assistantships & Fellowships Like to teach? Want to work in a lab? There are a lot of opportunities for financial aid.
